Technical Support & Software Manager
Job description
This person would be in charge of updating and installing software on the WISE office computers along with facilitating workshops for WISE employees and volunteers on how to use this software, as needed. This person would also have the opportunity to facilitate computer and internet literacy workshops for WISE program participants.
Basic criteria
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 2007 and of internet functions such as search engine use and email.
Some history of website building and up-keeping.
Strong working knowledge of how to set up a wireless internet network and how to fix common malfunctions (such as being unable to connect with the wireless internet system or printer).
Interest in working with a multicultural, multilingual, multiracial nonprofit.
Time Commitment
Since there is not a constant need for this position in the WISE office, this person would be on call with scheduled maintenance shifts and workshops. There would be a 48 hours grace period between the time of the need for technical assistance and expected availability of the volunteer.
